OHS General Induction for Construction Work (Green Card)
This course is aimed at all new workers carrying out construction work, including:
- Self-employed persons
- Labourers
- Apprentices
- Trainees
- Trades-persons
- Supervisors and project managers
The course provides participants with:
- Basic principles of health and safety in the construction industry in NSW
- Information about preventing workplace injury and illness, workplace injury management and workers compensation in NSW
Nominal course duration
5 hours. Course materials allow for course duration to be extended if required.
Course Content
- OHS legislation in NSW
- Consultation and communication in OHS
- Implementing health and safety for construction work
- Workplace emergencies and first aid for construction work
- Workplace injury management and workers compensation in NSW
Certification
- Successful participants will receive a WorkCover Statement of Completion issued by the accredited trainer
- Training methods place an emphasis on group discussion, group exercises and the interaction of course participants
