OHS General Induction for Construction Work (Green Card)

This course is aimed at all new workers carrying out construction work, including:

• Self-employed persons
• Labourers
• Apprentices
• Trainees
• Trades-persons
• Supervisors and project managers

The course provides participants with:

• Basic principles of health and safety in the construction industry in NSW
• Information about preventing workplace injury and illness, workplace injury management and workers compensation in NSW

Nominal course duration

5 hours. Course materials allow for course duration to be extended if required.

Course Content

• OHS legislation in NSW
• Consultation and communication in OHS
• Implementing health and safety for construction work
• Workplace emergencies and first aid for construction work
• Workplace injury management and workers compensation in NSW

Certification

• Successful participants will receive a WorkCover Statement of Completion issued by the accredited trainer
• Training methods place an emphasis on group discussion, group exercises and the interaction of course participants
